“We're in for a very difficult year,” he said, speaking at a press conference prior to pre-budget consultations in Ontario. He also stated, "We regrettably are going to have to expect continuing job losses in Canada,". Statistics Canada data showed that the country lost 34,400 jobs in December 2008, more than expected.
